Meet the Band - The Baritones

The Baritone Horn, or sometimes just called baritone, is a low-pitched brass instrument in the saxhorn family.   It is a piston-valved instrument with a bore which is mostly conical, like the flugelhorn and tenor horn.   You will normally find two baritones in a brass band, although the euphonium can sometimes supplement the baritone horn.

The Baritone sounds with a timbre between the brightness of the trombone and the more mellow tone of the Euphonium.
